We are Year 5, our class teachers are

Homework

In Willow class most homework set will be in our learning logs.  This is set on a Friday, and collected in the following Wednesday.  This homework will usually be topic based, and require pupils to show their current understanding of different areas we are studying.  

We understand that children work exceptionally hard during the school day, and recommend they spend around 25 minutes on each set piece. Obviously, if they are enthused and want to spend longer, that is fine. If you have any questions or difficulties with homework set, then please come in and see us.

In addition to the learning logs, we have weekly spellings, which go home and are tested on  Fridays.  Follow the links below for weekly lists.  

Spellings

Spellings will come home to learn on a Friday.  They will not be tested until the following Friday, after we have spent time focusing on them in class.

During the week, we will be looking at spelling rules, the meanings of words and practising similar words.
