Week beginning 17th Oct

What a fantastic end to a wonderful half term! We are so proud of all of our reception children. Thank you so much to all parents that were able to attend parent meetings. Have a wonderful holiday, we will look forward to seeing you all next half term.

We enjoyed venturing outside to look for signs of Autumn. We explored our forest school area and collected lots of leaves to make a big class hedgehog.

We played ‘hedgehogs’. Who is our hedgehog this time? Let’s work out who is missing?

The children have been busy in our outdoor area making up their own games and working together to construct houses!

During phonics we have learnt four new phonemes this week, including the digraph ‘ck’. We have been practising our blending and segmenting skills when reading and writing words and working on our letter formation. Please look in our ‘Home learning for Ash Class’ section, on our main class page to find our weekly phonic sheets.

We have been talking about how to look after our teeth and teeth brushing!
