Maths

Please visit White Rose Maths Hub and look at their home learning. 

 

This week we are looking at the section called 'Summer Term - Week 1'. If you click on that pink block, it should open up five lessons below. Each day, there is a short video lesson and an activity to go with this - please complete both of these. 

 

Monday - Lesson 1 - adding decimals within 1 

Tuesday - Lesson 2 - subtracting decimals within 1 

Note: question 7 on Lesson 2 was really tricky! Click here for a video that explains how to answer this question using bar modelling. 

Wednesday - Lesson 3 - complements to 1 

Thursday - Lesson 4 - adding decimals - crossing the whole 

Friday - Lesson 5 - maths challenge 

Note: challenges 1 to 5 are suitable for year 5s. If you'd like to have a go at any of the others with a family member, please do! But if you find them tricky, please don't worry, as it's not what we would expect you to be able to do! 

 

Please also remember to keep checking My Maths for your weekly homework - well done if you are completing this, but if not, this is a great time to get back on top of it! All login details have been sent home, but if you can't find yours, please email us and we will send it to you.
