Week beginning 2.01.23
This week we went on a technology walk.
What do we use technology for? What technology can you find in your house?
Puzzles- developing spacial awareness skills
Pegs- Fine motor skills activity working on repeated patterns.
In music we listened to a piece of music and talked about how it made us feel and then sang and performed to one another!
In Maths we have been comparing lengths and ordering height. We have also been playing different maths games on the interactive board.
We celebrated our ‘WOW!’ achievements together. (More WOW notes have been sent home in book bags) We love to hear about all the amazing things your child is doing at home!
In science and PSHE we talked about the different things that go onto our body.
In literacy we are having a real push on handwriting. This week we have all been reading, writing and sharing lots of stories. In phonics we have been recapping all the graphemes we have learnt so far.
Your child has also been allocated more online ebooks to continue to practise their blending skills at home.
In PE we explored moving in different ways around the obstacle course. We worked on our jumping, hopping and balancing!
We also had the opportunity to share our holiday news with one another. Some of us have been working together to make and take photos of our models using the iPads. We were very impressed with some our our tidying up around the classroom!
