On the 16th October Willow Class took a trip to London as part of our Anglo-Saxon and Earth and Space topics. We were lucky, and were able to visit the British Museum and the National Science Museum on the same day. Firstly we visited the British Museum and looked at the Sutton Hoo exhibition to enhance our learning on the Anglo-Saxons as well as the Vikings exhibition as this is our topic up until Christmas.
We then had a chance to explore some other areas of the museum looking at the Egyptian exhibit and other artefacts found across Europe in more recent centuries.
We then hopped back on our coach and headed across London to the National Science Museum. We all really enjoyed the science museum first exploring the space exhibit. Then found ourselves in the interactive exhibits and were able to try a few experiments and test some theories. This ended with a show called Crash, Bang, Wallop' where we saw some fantastic explosions, and a few of Willow Class were able to help out, including shooting Barbie out of a cannon!!
