The Wizards of Once

'The Wizards of  Once' by Cressida Cowell

'I chose to review this book, because Cressida Cowell is one of my favourite authors. I had previously read the How to Train your Dragon series.
I like this book, because it is full of surprises and cliff hangers. The main characters are Xar, a young and disobedient wizard, Wish is a wayward warrior and Caliburn (Xar's magical Raven). This trio alongside a whole host of other mystical creatures' go on a quest to help Xar discover his magic and defeat the Witches. This book is about adventure and family conflicts. There are some incredible ink illustrations by the author. I would recommend this book to children (from the age of 8+) and adults alike, especially if they enjoy books like Harry Potter.'
