Commonwealth Games - Representing Zambia

Willow Class were lucky enough to take part in a sports festival in honour of the Commonwealth Games this year. The festival was a fantastic success and all of us enjoyed it very much. We were given the task of representing the country of Zambia at the games and everyone was fully committed to doing the best they could for our adopted country for the day.

We got to compete in a selection of wonderful sports, some of which we had played a lot of before (tag rugby, netball, athletics), some we have tried a little in the past (hockey, rowing, badminton) and things that were brand new to most of us (table tennis, archery and boccia).

We had a fantastic time at the event, with everyone having fun trying new sports and testing themselves with sports we have tried before. The whole of Willow Class would like to thank SASP for organising the event, which we enjoyed in the beautiful sunshine.

We have recently found out that we were the overall winners of the Commonwealth Games with a grand total of 19 gold medals 3 silver and 2 bronze.
