Today, I would like you to try to finish your story.  You could use the story to help, like I have below.  Or if you are feeling more adventurous, you could use more of your own ideas.

Think carefully about each sentence you use and remember to include full stops and capital letters. 

Remember we have been practising using different sentence types and speech in class, so try to use these in your writing.

It wasn’t much fun in the attic.  It was hard to stay balanced on the remaining floorboards.  The family perched amongst broken toys and Christmas decorations.

“You know, I’ve had as much as I can take of those rhinos," said Alex.

He picked up an old Nerf gun and jumped through the ceiling to the floor of his room.  His family followed. They charged at the rhinos, firing Nerf bullets as they ran.

“Aaargh!” screeched the rhinos.  “The people have fallen from the roof.  And when the people fall from the roof… it’s all over!”

Stumbling and hurrying, the rhinos charged from the house, along the street and far away.

That night as Alex lay in his bed, all was still…

… Until he heard roaring, clawing, stomping noises coming from the dining room. 

“What was that?” he though sleepily as he fell into a deep sleep...
