Welcome to Rowan Class' page.
Our teachers are Mrs Wilkins and Mrs Trump.
Our teaching assistant is Mrs Andrews, and Mrs Mitchell teaches us PE.
We have Forest School on alternate Monday afternoons.
Our homework is to read regularly, recording this in our reading logs, practice spellings in our spelling folders each week, play linked spelling games on the Spelling Shed website, practice times tables using TT Rockstars and talk about learning linked to that term's Knowledge Organisers.
We have added information that we hope you find useful.
Look out for photographs of what we have been up to.
If you are self-isolating at home, we would like you to complete the activities we sent home in your Learning Logs. Inside the front and back covers, you will find Log In details for Spelling Shed to practice spellings, TTRockstars and My Maths. The spelling lists will be updated each week on the Spelling Shed website. There are also a selection of maths, writing and reading activities photocopied and tucked inside.
Please keep any home learning sessions to around 30 minutes. The activities included will cover the two weeks up to the Easter holidays, in these core subjects. We will then update the website with new, daily activities.
During this time, it is also very important to keep as fit as we can. Therefore,
at 9am each morning this week, Joe Wicks will be streaming a PE session to keep us all active and moving. It will be a great way to start your day and I am sure your family would love to join in too! If you were having a lie-in, then you will be able to find the session on Joe Wicks' youtube channel and join in at any point!
This is also an opportunity to enjoy creative time, making and building. You could use the Knowledge Organiser to inspire work on the rainforests and/or animals. This could be making a model, sketching or painting or writing a non- chronological report or poem about your favourite animal from the Rainforest
You could also remember older and more vulnerable family and neighbours at this time and write them a letter or make them a card to show they are being thought of by you.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Week Beginning 23.03.20
We had started learning about decimals, following our fractions work. Here are videos and activities for five lessons. We were about to start Step 3, but you can repeat Steps 1 & 2 if you like. If you have access to a printer there are follow up activities or you can solve online.
