Rowan

Welcome to Rowan Class' page.

Our teachers are Mrs Wilkins and Mrs Trump.

Our teaching assistant is Mrs Andrews, and Mrs Mitchell teaches us PE.

We have Forest School on alternate Monday afternoons.

Our homework is to read regularly, recording this in our reading logs, practice spellings in our spelling folders each week, play linked spelling games on the Spelling Shed website, practice times tables using TT Rockstars and talk about learning linked to that term's Knowledge Organisers.

Coronavirus Update - Summer Term

Hello Everybody,

We really hope you have been able to enjoy your very unusual Easter break and have made the most of the wonderful weather!

Well done to all of you who have completed pieces of work at home so far. We have been hearing about some of the different ways you have been keeping yourselves busy and it sounds like you and your families have been very creative, so very well done and keep it up!

Moving forward, from Monday 20th April, we will be putting weekly plans on the website for you to use. You will find these on the Summer Term page. There will be reading, writing,  spelling and maths tasks, which we suggest you complete in the mornings and a selection of topic tasks for you to work on throughout the week. We would also like you to start the day with ‘P.E. with Joe’ – every day at 9.00am.

Also, don't forget to use Spelling Shed where lists will be updated each week, TTRockstars to practise your times tables and MyMaths, where new tasks will be set regularly. Remember, all the login details were tucked inside your Learning Logs.

Please be assured we fully understand that everyone's circumstances are different and working to this timetable may not suit every family so please use or adapt to best suit your household. Also, please don't hesitate to contact us if you would like some help or advice or you would like to share any of your work with us. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Stay safe,

Mrs Wilkins, Mrs Trump & Mrs Andrews

Long Term Spelling Plan-Rowan

Rowan Class Charter

Rowan Class participated in a 'Sport Relief ' workout today run by the year 6 sport leaders. It was a high intensity fifteen minute workout!

Rowan Class look fabulous on World Book Day!

On Wednesday, Rowan class took part in an Egyptian workshop. We made Egyptian date bread, learned all about Scarab beetles and did some writing using hieroglyphics. This visit will definitely help with our Egyptian topic work this half term!
