Autumn Term

The Anglo-Saxons:

 

This term, we have been learning all about the Anglo-Saxons.  

 

We have made some beautiful Anglo-Saxon brooches, using embossing foil. 

English

In English, we have looked at Beowulf, and have written battle speeches an Anglo-Saxon warrior might give to his warriors!  Below you will find a few examples.

English

For our independent, end of unit writing, we used what we had learned, and wrote a speech that Father Christmas might give to the Elves on Christmas Eve.  We then worked in groups to put all of our ideas together to create short films.  Follow the link below to the Video Resource page to view them.
