In preparation for our final 'sentence stacking' lesson tomorrow, we would like you to focus on the dramatic moment that will end our story.
Tomorrow's writing will begin with the following sentences...
Icarus flew still higher. Closer to the deadly ball of fire, which was burning in the sky.
Tasks for today's lesson:
- 1. Draw a picture of Icarus in the middle of your page.
- 2. Gather words around your picture to describe how Icarus feels as he realises he is falling e.g. terrified, distressed.
- 3. Collect actions that show how Icarus is feeling e.g. 'his grin turned to a grimace'
