This morning we will be writing our Newspaper Reports about World War One being declared. Use the website here to help structure your information.

In class, we will be using a success criteria to make sure we have everything we need. This will include:

• A headline
• An opening hook (some very brief information to make the reader want to read on)
• 2 or 3 paragraphs of information about the causes of the war
• A quote (this can be real or made up)
• An illustration
• An ending summary or sentence to make your readers want to read more tomorrow.

Addition and Subtraction

Today we are going to be looking at how we can use inverse operations to solve addition and subtraction calculations. Click here to watch a video lesson to help you understand the commutative law, to see that addition can be done in any order but subtraction cannot.
