Let's find out more about the rainforests of the world and how they are under threat. Watch the presentation below about the importance of rainforests and deforestation. Then have a look at the statements on the activity sheet and decide if the effects of deforestation are positive or negative and how you feel about these changes. If you can, talk about it with someone in your family. 

Tuesday - Geography & Science 

Look at the photographs below and read the facts on the deforestation sheet. Read the "Dear Reader" letter. 

EIther make a poster to tell others about the threat to the rainforests or write your own persuasive letter.

Wednesday - Times Tables and Geography 

Use the rainforest product survey (below) to hunt around your house and see what you have that originally came from the rainforest. The fact cards beloe will give you more information. 

Thursday - RE 

Today, you are going to make Challah bread! Challah is a special bread in Jewish cuisine, usually braided and typically eaten on ceremonial occasions such as Shabbat and major Jewish holidays. 

You can use this recipe, or you can have a look online and find your own. 

We would love to see some photos of your finished bread and maybe even you enjoying a slice!
