We are excited about the Summer Term!
We are off on a trip to Wessex Water's Ashford Education Centre and will be enjoying Forest School on Monday afternoon in the first half of the term. This will help us with our learning. We will be finding out about and investigating rivers, the water cycle and states of matter. In Forest School, we will make our own rivers, then build fires to melt and cook on.
In English, our model text is Once Upon a Raindrop which explains the importance of water in our everyday lives. It explains the wonderful world of water and the story of water through a enchanting, poetic journey.
In Maths, we will continue to learn about decimals, money, time, shape, statistics and position & direction.
In the second half of the term, we will be studying lots of exciting new things. After a first week back celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, we will be learning about the Anglo-Saxons and in English writing an Anglo-Saxon Call to Arms. In Science, we will find out about the human digestive system. And in Design Technology we will be cooking up a treat! Look out for news on another exciting day out trip!
