We are continuing with SPAG today, today focussing in on nouns.

It is important we are able to identify a noun within a sentence - it is usually a person, a place or a thing/object.

Once we are able to find a noun, we are able to make it more interesting by adding in extra information. For example, rather than saying The cat climbed up the tree, we could say Aunt Jemima's cat climbed up the ancient oak tree. These extra bits of information turn our noun into a noun phrase.
