Reading

Now that we have finished Holes we are going to move on to Wonder. Put aside 5 pages at the back of your pink exercise back where you can answer any questions we set.

Today, read to page 14 and answer the question below.

Does August mind that he’s “not an ordinary ten-year-old kid”? Explain your answer using quotes. (3 marks)

English

We are going to carry on with our non-chronological reports this week. Like with our wonderful giant reports last week, first we need to do some research on the focus of our reports. As our topic is animals we would like to you pick an animal or group of animals (canines - domestic dogs, wolves, etc.) and collect as much information as you can about this animal/group. Think about the different sections you might need to write about (appearance, habitat, diet, fun facts, etc.) and collect information to fit these sections.

Tomorrow we will put this information into a plan.

Maths

Maths today is in 2 parts. Firstly, can you complete the sheet 4.1 within your pink exercise book. There are 12 arithmetic questions for you to have a go at, make sure you use the correct methods. Then a homework has been set on mymaths titled ratio introduction. Please use the online lesson to help you.

PE

At 9am each morning this week, Joe Wicks will be streaming a PE session to keep us all active and moving. It will be a great way to start your day and I am sure your family would love to join in too! If you were having a lie-in, then you will be able to find the session on Joe Wicks' youtube channel and join in at any point!
