WONDER

Wonder is an amazing book, I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it for ages 9+.
This is about a boy called August. Sounds pretty ordinary right? In a way this boy is every kind of ordinary, he plays on his Xbox, eats ice-cream, watches T.V. But ordinary kids don’t make other kids run away screaming in playgrounds, or gets talked about behind their backs. You see this kid looks slightly different to everyone else, he’s had tons of operations to make him look better, but he still looks a bit different.
He has been home schooled by his mum for a long time, but she wants him to start at Beecher Prep for the fifth grade, which August doesn’t agree with. But by the time he had had a tour around Beecher Prep August decided that he would go to school. He had to put up with bullies and mean games and felt like quitting but when he makes a couple of friends everything changes.
